Vienna, the city of culture and innovation, is not only a popular destination for tourists, but also an important location for trade fairs and events. In this travelogue, I will take you on a journey from Vienna Airport to Messe Wien and highlight the various outdoor advertising options you will encounter along the way.🏃

Arrival at Vienna Airport

Upon my arrival at Vienna International Airport, I was immediately surrounded by the modern architecture and the hustle and bustle. The airport is not only a transportation hub, but also a place full of advertising opportunities. There are large posters and digital screens everywhere advertising local events, products and services. The advertising for the upcoming trade fairs at Messe Wien was particularly striking – it immediately caught my attention.

The journey to the city center

I decided to take the rapid transit train (S-Bahn) to the city center. The station “Flughafen Wien” is well signposted and offers easy access to the trains. While waiting for the train, I noticed the outdoor advertising again: Posters on the walls provided information about current events in the city as well as offers from hotels and restaurants near the trade fair.
The train left on time and after about 25 minutes we arrived at the “Praterstern” station. Here I changed to the subway line U2 in the direction of “Karlsplatz”. I also encountered a large number of advertising spaces in the subway: From large billboards to digital screens that presented exciting information about upcoming trade fairs and exhibitions at Messe Wien.

Through the Prater to Messe Wien

Arriving at Praterstern, I had the opportunity to take a quick look at the famous Prater. The Giant Ferris Wheel was majestically visible in the background – a perfect photo opportunity! On my way to Messe Wien, I noticed numerous cabs with eye-catching outdoor advertising. Many of these cabs carried advertisements for companies attending the fairs or offering services – a great way for brands to gain visibility.
