We as wtm successfully implemented an outdoor advertising campaign with airport media for our client İZFAŞ, the municipal trade fair company from Izmir.
Before, during, and after the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week from 21.04.2026 to 27.04.2026, the campaign ran on high visibility digital screens at Barcelona Airport.
The campaign placed the If Wedding Fashion fair in Izmir, organized by İZFAŞ and taking place in January 2027, into the spotlight.
The digital screens along the baggage claim areas reached all visitors arriving at Terminal 1 for the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week.
The result: precise, timely reach of the relevant target group at exactly the right moment. Future and potential trade fair visitors are reached early, awareness for the event is purposefully increased, and concrete travel and attendance decisions are triggered.
By placing the campaign in the baggage claim area, the client deliberately chose a form of airport advertising designed for maximum impact: arriving trade visitors have plenty of time to engage with messages while waiting for their luggage. Due to the extended dwell time, both visitors and other industry participants are repeatedly exposed to the advertising. This reinforces the message and, in this case, anchors the upcoming trade show firmly in memory over the long term.
Thanks to the mandatory passage through the baggage claim area in Barcelona, the campaign is visible to all travellers, regardless of whether they travel with checked or carry-on luggage. As a result, all visitors arriving for the trade fair at Terminal 1 come into direct contact with the digital screens on their way out of the airport.


Understanding OOH advertising as a journey of the target audience
In other major trade fair cities as well, we successfully implemented impactful outdoor advertising for our client İZFAŞ, including at Cologne Bonn Airport.
From 14.03.2026 to 20.03.2026, the campaign for the Logistech trade fair, taking place in Izmir in October 2026, ran on a large format video wall in Terminal 1.
The dynamic placement in the high traffic terminal environment ensured maximum visibility and continuous exposure of the campaign message throughout the entire booking period.
The strategic positioning attracted the attention of all arriving and departing passengers in Terminal 1. In this way, the campaign directly reached the relevant target group of international business travelers, trade fair visitors, and potential industry professionals right at the airport, significantly increasing awareness for the Logistech trade fair.
The location was chosen deliberately based on the high relevance of Cologne Bonn as an international logistics and transport hub. This ensured that the campaign was displayed in an environment with an above average concentration of business travelers and target groups relevant to the trade show.
